Hello!

My name is Jonathan Norris. I started doing photography back in high school while in yearbook. My main motivation wasn't what you'd expect: I hated having my picture taken. So my 17-year-old theory was, if you are behind the camera you don't have to be front of it. After an excursion with National Geographic, I realized I could pursue photography as more than just a hobby. Five years later I graduated from The University of Alabama with my undergraduate in photojournalism (2015) and two years later, I received my masters in journalism (2017). While at UA I led editorial teams domestic and abroad creating award productions. While on one of these trips I met my wife, Becky. We now call Tuscaloosa our home.

In 2015, I started perusing JN Photo to become more than just a side hustle. I saw a need in the photography industry of a photographer who knew what they were doing behind the camera. My goal is to create an affordable, fun experience for my clients from beginning to end. From the achievements of graduation to the first kiss as newly-weds, your photographer is there, and these are the moments  I love to be apart of and to capture. I aim to create photos that capture your full personality during your special moments.
